Busy, busy, busy  
Another busy week in the Riss household. I feel like I've never stopped rushing about this week - work, kids, school, family, doctor...

My back is much better this week so I've taken less drugs and am more mobile. Just starting a week of holiday now, so hopefully I'll feel loads better by the end of this week. It was our Wedding Anniversary on Saturday (I was a child-bride, honestly, I'm not old!) and my lovely parents volunteered to take the kids for the day. It was so nice! We went out for the day and it was so nice not havng to keep tabs on the boys all the time. We haven't had a whole day alone together since our first Demon was born 7 years ago. God, I'm getting all soppy, but it made me remember why I married him all over again. *blushes with embarrassment at sheer soppiness*

 So, it's almost time for BBTP. I'm really looking forward to it! As a relative latecomer to IJ's proverbial party I managed to miss it completely last year, so I've been reading the 2007 masterlist in preparation for this year's event. I might even have managed to write some porn myself... If you start running now you might just manage to avoid my dreadful attempts. There's no shame in blatant PWP, is there? *sniggers* Only, there's a distinct lack of any sort of plot...

I have started my Christmas Shopping!!!! I love being Santa, spend ages planning my boys' stockings, and they're almost done. You can get so much more cool stuff now than you could when I was a kid. Today's purchase - Indiana Jones dress-up costume, complete with sound-effect whip. Fantastic. I had to take it away from Mr Riss, he was having Far Too Much Fun with it. I love Christmas. Can I put my tree up yet?

In other news, I'm almost at the end of my Buffy marathon. The Body made me cry again. Spike and Buffy having hot wild rough sex and almost knocking the house down made me...well, you get the picture! God, I love James Marsters. 'Compact and muscular', to quote Xander, and those cheekbones... 'Out. For. A. Walk. .... Bitch.' made me laugh myself silly again. Oh, Joss, how I hope Dollhouse is as well-written...

Of course there is no shame in blatant PWP. That's what BBTP is all about, hon!

Man, the Body makes me cry Every Single Time. I think it's during Anya's breakdown in Willow's room that I just can't keep it together. So sad. :/

But Guh, I don't think I've ever seen a hotter sex scene on tv than the first time Buffy and Spike are together. And later at the Bronze when they're up on the balcony looking down at Buffy's friends dancing below...omg. *dies*

Awww, Happy Anniversary to you and Mr. Riss!! That's so sweet.

Happy anniversary! I love to hear that people are still soppy over each other after being married for years. Mr. Riss is getting all his holidays piled on top of each other, isn't he?

But gah! I can't believe you're thinking of Christmas already!! It's too early! Far too early!!! Still, though, sound-effect whip....

Ha! I love "Out. For. A. Walk...Bitch." There's an icon of that floating around, always makes me giggle.

Ha! Yes, he is. He refused to get married before his birthday, said he wasn't marrying an older woman! We're not soppy as a general rule...

You have to plan ahead when you have kids! Also, our son and heir's birthday is 10 days before Christmas, so it's an expensive time of year!

I love Spike so much. On a tangent, did you see the BBC news item about Torchwood? No standalone eps, one 5 episode story arc...

I saw that, yes ... not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, I'd love a good strong arc/story. On the other, they'll probably devote at least 3 of the 5 eps to Gwen and there won't be nearly enough Janto.

But now I'm more worried by this. I hate that they have to say "assistant" instead of "companion" (proving that the show isn't quite as popular in the US as they'd have you believe)!!!

And it sounds like DT is moving on soon as well. :(

Mr Ten-inch is not allowed to leave. I might cry. I heard he was signed for the 2010 series at least. Have I missed something while I was lost in reading H/D? And what are they thinking of, Dr Who in the USA? It can only end in tears...

I'm very confused about the 2010 series and these "specials" that they're talking about. Are they going to do a full series plus these "specials?" Or is this going to be similar to the TW short season?

Whatever it is, I don't like it, not one bit. Change bad!

Just the specials in 2009, while DT works on other projects. Full series 2010, apparently. All change = bad. Makes Riss sad. *sniffs*
